We’re excited to share that on September 12, 2022, The Gibson Law Group – with a lot of hard work from our clients – won a verdict for our clients KSL Investments, Newman Brothers Metal Buildings, LLC, and Cate Concrete, LLC, in a case involving fraud in the construction of a fitness center in Mansfield. The court found in favor of our clients, awarding just under $500,000 in damages for statutory and common law fraud.
Fraud in real estate construction is a serious issue that can cause significant harm to individuals and businesses alike. In this case, the plaintiffs claimed that the defendants intentionally underbid the project, effectively stole over $250,000, and completed less than half of the work promised. Needless to say, the court agreed.
