Driven Associate Attorney (3+ Years) – Commercial Litigation Support

We are seeking a highly accomplished, driven, and detail-oriented attorney with 3+ years of experience to serve as a key litigation resource in high-stakes commercial disputes, breach of contract cases, construction, DTPA, and fraud.

Essential Qualifications & Expectations:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of significant experience in commercial litigation.
• Trial Advocacy Support: Proven track record of successful court appearances, including supporting partners in motion hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Legal Acumen: Thorough comprehension of civil procedure, evidence, and effective trial advocacy.
• License: An active license to practice law in the state of Texas is required.
• Work Ethic & Drive: We are looking for attorneys who can efficiently handle high-volume production, display a proactive, “can-do” attitude, and possess an unwavering dedication to client service. Intellectual engagement and a relentless commitment to excellence are non-negotiable requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactive Communication: Superior verbal communication skills are essential. You must be proactive, unafraid of the phone, and ready to engage directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the court to advance client interests quickly.
• Drafting: Draft complex pleadings, compelling motions and comprehensive discovery requests/responses with minimal supervision.
• Discovery: Take and defend high-stakes depositions effectively, often serving as the primary lead on discovery matters.
• Court Attendance: Prepare for and attend trials, arbitrations, mediation, and court hearings solo or alongside a partner.
• High-Volume Execution: Ability to work efficiently and execute detailed tasks correctly under tight deadlines, providing reliable support to the litigation team.

Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview: We are not a typical law firm. We are a small, but elite team of litigators who are on the cutting edge of business litigation in Texas. Our clients are successful entrepreneurs who expect first-rate service, strategic thinking, and exceptional results. We are seeking a driven Litigation Paralegal who is ready to dedicate themselves to a challenging and rewarding career, not just a job. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be on the front lines, providing high-level support to our attorneys on complex, high-stakes business disputes. This role requires attention to detail and deadlines, the flexibility to work on multiple cases at a time, and a relentless work ethic. If you take pride in producing superior work under deadline constraints, this position offers a rare opportunity to grow alongside top-tier trial lawyers.

Responsibilities:

• Case Management: The ability to self-manage all aspects of complex business litigation matters, including organizing and maintaining case files, identifying and tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal rules, as well as internal protocols.
• Factual Investigation/Research: Conduct thorough factual research and investigations to support case strategy and litigation preparation.
• Document Preparation: Draft, edit, and format, pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, and correspondence with accuracy and efficiency.
• Discovery: Assist in all phases of discovery, including document collection, reviewing, and summarizing documents and deposition transcripts to uncover key information.
• Client Interaction and Third-Party Interaction: Serve as a professional liaison with clients, witnesses, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Court Filings: Ensure the timely and accurate filing of legal documents with courts and agencies, guaranteeing compliance with all local, state, and federal rules.
• Trial Support: Provide essential support for hearings and trials, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination and assisting with courtroom logistics.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in business litigation with a deep, practical understanding of the litigation process from start to finish. Extensive understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and discovery deadlines.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal in business litigation.
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
• A demonstrated history of strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering work ethic.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), online investigative tools, e-filing systems, and emerging legal technology, including AI-based tools.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor.

Compensation:

Compensation: $70,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and demonstrated performance. We invest in top talent, and our compensation reflects that commitment.
